Phosphinate sind die Salze der PhosphinsΓ€ure, beispielsweise Natriumphosphinat und Calciumphosphinat, und ihre Ester. Die Salze werden auch als Hypophosphite bezeichnet und bestehen aus den jeweiligen Kationen und dem Phosphinat-Ion (H2PO2β).

Herstellung
Salze der PhosphinsΓ€ure werden durch die alkalische Hydrolyse (bspw. mit NaOH LΓΆsung) von weiΓem Phosphor (P4) hergestellt.cite-ref-2-2-0[2]cite-ref-r-mpponline-3-0[3]

Reaktionen
Das Phosphinat-Ion wird durch SalpetersΓ€ure zum Phosphat-Ion oxidiert. Seine Salze zersetzen sich unter ErwΓ€rmung, wobei das Ion disproportioniert und Pyrophosphat (zum Teil auch Phosphat) und Monophosphan entstehen.cite-ref-0-1-1[1]

Verwendung
Phosphinat-Salze werden fΓΌr auΓenstromlose Beschichtungsverfahren in der Galvanotechnik verwendet. Sie eignen sich auch als Edukte fΓΌr die Herstellung von Organophosphorverbindungen. Dies ist umweltfreundlicher und atomΓΆkonomischer als die Herstellung ΓΌber Phosphortrichlorid, spielt bisher jedoch nur eine untergeordnete Rolle. Beispielsweise kΓΆnnen die Wasserstoffatome der Phosphinat-Gruppe gegen organische Reste substituiert werden, indem ein Phosphinat-Salz unter Palladiumkatalyse mit einem Alkylhalogenid umgesetzt wird.cite-ref-1-4-2[4]
